Training Description
The EEOC recently issued a new “resource document” reiterating what employers need to know regarding reasonable accommodations. In this resource document, the EEOC has made clear that policies that “unlawfully restrict the use of leave as a reasonable accommodation” would be prohibited by the ADA. This resource document was created in response to the trend in which the EEOC has seen an increase in ADA complaints with regard to disability discrimination. In response, the EEOC issued this resource document to help employers understand “how to approach requests for leave as a reasonable accommodation so that employees can manage their health and employers can meet their business needs.”
